The time is nearing and all I can think about is shooting my own buffalo in October. I’ve spent numerous days on the shooting range, numerous hours in the reloading room trying to get that sweet spot where the double rifles two barrels shoot at the same spot. And now I know I’m ready to take on the beast.
The rifle of choice for this hunt is my Sabatti 450 Nitro Express loaded with a 480gr Peregrine VRG-3. The muzzle velocity is 2150 ft/s which produces a whopping 4920 ft-lbs. Im taking aim through a Trijicon RMR and have set my sights in at 50m.
Now the only thing left to do is to try and keep my excitement at bay. Ive spent days hunting the Cape Buffalo with clients and have never been this exited or nervous in my life, this is going to be an epic experience…
